Executive Summary

The Supply Chain Management System is a web-based application developed using WordPress and the ATUM Inventory Management Tool plugin, with Potato Corner serving as the sample client to simulate real-world supply chain operations. As part of the integrated Supply Chain Management project, the system is designed to support the procurement and inventory management processes involved in sourcing raw materials and maintaining inventory for a food service business. The application enables procurement personnel to create and manage Purchase Orders (POs), maintain supplier records, monitor inbound stock, perform inventory audits through stock takes, and oversee warehouse operations such as pick-and-pack processes. It also provides centralized inventory management, manufacturing support, inventory logs, dashboards with graphical reports, and WooCommerce integration for managing products, customer orders, and reports. The procurement workflow follows a structured Purchase Order lifecycle, where the procurement department creates Purchase Orders, sends them to suppliers, tracks deliveries, performs quality checks upon receipt, updates inventory levels, and completes the procurement process.

By implementing these features, the system enhances inventory visibility, improves procurement efficiency, ensures accurate stock management, and provides a practical educational platform for demonstrating real-world supply chain management processes within the context of Potato Corner’s business operations.
